Description
SPRINGTIME
Debut single by DEBORAH ROSE
Springtime is a beautiful, timeless poem written by Eva Cassidy which captures the essence of ‘Eva’ as a person and artist. The music was written by composer and pianist Ian King from Worcestershire.
Eva’s parents gave me their blessing to record this song and performed it for them at Walcott Hall, Shropshire in 2010 on their visit to the UK. Eva’s brother Dan and I contributed the line “Butterflies in April, and rainbows in June” while recording at the beautiful countryside studios, The Hatch in Tenbury Wells in 2009.
This version of the song recorded especially for Terry Wogan for Eva’s 50th anniversary, features cello from Catherine Harper, recorded at the Victoria Rooms in Bristol, produced by Dave Hamill and Jonathan Scott.
